Question 1 - When should I contact DPM? DPM'sanswer - You or your representative are most welcome to contact us at any stage in your NDIS journey. We prefer that you hit base with us as earliest as possible. We are most happy to assist you and work with any other pre-plan supports you have to prepare you for your plan meeting with your NDIS Local Area Coordinator (LAC). This early start with us will help you to be well placed and in the best possible position to achieve a "It's Right the First Time" plan.
Question 2 - Will it cost me any out-of-pocket money to have DPM assist me before my plan is approved? DPM'sanswer - No, we offer this pre-plan service for FREE and with no obligation to sign us up after your plan is approved. We believe that partnering at this early stage in your NDIS journey will save you much time and effort in the future. You can of course choose to go with an alternative plan manager once your plan is approved, it's your choice.
Question 3 - If I choose to engage a plan manager, will the PM fees reduce any of my other support funds? DPM'sanswer - No, PM fees are added to plans and therefore do not impact on the funds allocated for your other support items.
Question 4 - If I have already engaged a PM but wish to change part way through the plan's term, would I need to pay DPM the initial set-up fee from my own money? DPM'sanswer - No, since you have already used the PM set-up funds from your plan, we will set you up in our systems free-of-charge as a good-will gesture.
