DPM is operated by Mark, who's main role is to liaise with and help clients achieve their plan goals. Assisted by Marie who predominantly provides an efficient & timely service of paying Provider invoices in addition to other administrative responsibilities.
Mark Thompson has more than 20 years experience as a professionally qualified accountant and bookkeeper. He promises to provide you with a flexible, personal, customised service.
Mark started his career as an accountant in the corporate world having gained UK and Australian professional accounting qualifications. He took time out from accounting in 2011 and practiced as a mobile massage therapist, and still does today in a reduced capacity. In 2017 he completed a Diploma in Bookkeeping to refresh his accounting skills. Shortly afterwards, through connection with a massage client who is a NDIS participant, Mark became drawn to using his experience and qualifications as a NDIS Plan Manager and formed Disability Plan Management.
Marie has over 20 years experience in the fields of health, education & small business. She joined DPM mid 2020 to help Mark with administration, but has also learnt quickly and now assists in other areas and in particular enjoys helping our clients with support coordination & recovery coaching. Having studied education at University, focusing on adult needs & special education, Marie went on to teach students with special needs at TAFE and developed a particular interest in disability and aged care. Marie feels that she has reached a point where she is putting her experience and skills into an area that she is passionate in and excited to learn more about.
Marie has completed training in Support Coordination & Psychosocial Recovery Coaching and is available to assist DPM's clients.
